One's Journey Through Life Foundation provides several services to teen parents and single parents in the community.
CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
-Assistance w/ applying for childcare services 3c's.-Assistance applying for food stamps, KTAP, other government assistance. -Legal Help & Court Help-Assistance w/ housing & jobs-Additional resource assistance
-Referrals to resource centers and family/children exchange centers
Adult & Kids CLOTHING closet & DIAPER ASSISTANCE
-Clothing for infants to adults-Female & Men clothing & shoes (All sizes)-Diapers (All sizes)-Wipes
-Other baby items
Coming soon....Food Pantry (location tba)
-Clients will be able to shop once or twice a month for produce/meats, dry foods, canned goods and more.
-Clients will have to sign in each time they come to the location
CASE PLANNING, assessments, AND PROGRAM OUTLINE
-If clients enter into the program, our case managers, community support associates, and peer support specialist will assist clients in following a monthly goal sheet/case plan.
-Meet with the advocate at least twice a month to update case plan.
-Discussion of how the program is set up and what to follow.
Employment Assistance and FINANCIAL EDUCATION
- Staff will asssit clients in applying for jobs and unemployment assistance.
-Parenting classes
-Financial education classes (series of classes)
-Resume Building workshop
-Basic life skills classes
THERAPY/COUNSELING SERVICES (INDIVIDUAL & GROUP)
-Staff will refer clients to therapist, psychiatrist, counselors
-Staff will refer clients to get a evaluation for their children and themselves
-We have therapist who can provide individual and group therapy
